Rose Tibayan

Hello! I founded LIGAYA to document some of my personal experiences, and those of other Filipino American women. When I was a child, my family permanently immigrated to the United States. My parents had been college professors—respected and cherished professionals in the Philippines, their home country. They left a comfortable life to start fresh, give their children the opportunity to grow up in a democracy, and pursue the best education possible. I hope that you enjoy reading about all of our journeys. ~Rose Tibayan | Founder, LIGAYA
